The Matsui The Peated is a distinguished single malt Japanese whisky from the Kurayoshi Distillery in Tottori Prefecture. Crafted with carefully selected peated malt, this expression showcases a harmonious balance between smoky richness and subtle sweetness, embodying the meticulous craftsmanship of Japanese whisky-making.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Fresh and toasty malted cereal aromas, supported by earthy peat, swirls of smoke, and a touch of vanilla oak.
  
  
• Palate: Toasty oak, brown sugar, creamy vanilla, and a touch of orchard fruit, all enveloped by ashy smoke. 
  
• Finish: Peat smoke and fresh apple linger, leaving a satisfying aftertaste.
  

Crafted Excellence

This single malt is distilled from carefully chosen peated malt and matured in white oak bourbon casks, which impart depth and complexity to the whisky. The maturation process is enhanced by the pure, natural spring water from Mount Daisen, used to bring the whisky to proof.
