This incident negatively impacted shipments, leading to a low in alcohol sales in 2025 and a 4% decline in beer shipments compared to the previous year.

Asahi Gold aims to stand out from Asahi Super Dry as a barley-focused premium lager with a more robust flavour. Brewed with approximately 150% more malt than similar options, it delivers a richer taste while remaining crisp and straightforward to enjoy.
