Suntory Kinmugi Banshaku Sour is a unique hybrid drink that blends the smoothness of beer with the refreshing character of a sour. Released in 2025, it is brewed as a happōshu (third‑type beer) using Suntory’s rich malt base and rare citrus hops, including Lemondrop and Citra, to create a naturally bright and slightly tart profile without using artificial flavourings or sweeteners. It has a clean citrus aroma, a crisp and mildly sour taste with very little bitterness, and a light, smooth mouthfeel despite its 6% ABV.
